I've decided to add a blog to my webpage where I can write about ideas and tips for getting and staying organized, share projects I'm currently working on and share resources and products I think are helpful.
Defining organization seems like a good place to start a blog about organization. So what does it mean to be organized? Does it mean that everything you own is labeled? Or that you have lots of pretty contains and baskets in your closets? Or maybe that your garage is filled with matching plastic totes? Does it mean you never lose your keys or forget an appointment? Does it mean your socks are arranged by color?
The short answer is that being organized means that you can quickly find what you need when you need it. It's as simple as that. What this looks like will vary from person to person. Some will have matching containers, others will use old shoe boxes, but if you can easily find and access things you need, you are organized.
How do you achieve that? There are as many answers to that as there are things to organize, but the short answer is that you have a place for everything and functional systems for dealing with items that come in and out of your space. I'll get into the details in future blog posts!
